NEIL ELLIS SINCERELY SAUVIGNON BLANC 2008

The Grade: OUTSTANDING. The Mojo: In continuing my coverage of South African wines, I sort-of rediscovered my favorite South African Sauvignon Blanc producer, Neil Ellis. A few years ago, the winery introduced their "Sincerely" line, and I've been hooked ever since. The Neil Ellis Sincerely Sauvignon Blanc 2008 is a delicious, light-bodied SB that comes from several vineyards spread between the Groenekloof and Stellenbosch districts and is a completely tank-fermented, crisp, brazen SB full of lemon zest, fresh grapefruit, guava and kiwi notes, hints of herbaceousness, and well-balanced acidity. It's a terrific pairing for the deck this summer, and would marry well with raw, chilled oysters, chilled shrimp, or light salads.

Well, what can I say? I think I am your target! I'm loving the winery and I've been learning and buying a lot of bottles like a insane man. Seriously, I am not kidding... it's my vicious and I am an addict... so this'll be my favorite blog, because I'm looking wines by Internet, everything about them is important: history, process, flavors, critics, etc. 23jj
